!!!!!!!! IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT !!!!!!!!!!!

With the current situation of the Covid-19 Virus taking the country to level 4 we will not be running any further Speedway meetings or trainings for the 2019/20 season.

In light of this information, unfortunately this means that our last meetings on 19th April and 10th May have been cancelled.

Thank you for the support you have given us throughout the season, we are all disappointed however the health and welfare of everyone involved is paramount.

Please keep an eye out for next season calendar which will be released here on our facebook page.

Speedway New Zealand - 19 Mar 20 Update

18 March 2020

After carefully considering the advice Rosebank Speedway has received, we are going ahead with 22nd March Custom Hoist Hire National Sidecar Team Champs, and 1/4 Midget Buddy Day with open wheel star mentors.

Obviously we have been monitoring the concerning Covid-19 situation, but risks should be manageable as we have a lot of space for teams to spread out, and on average our attendance is well below the advisory level from the government that events over 500 people should be cancelled. This will be monitored at the gate on the day and, in the unlikely event we reach 500 capacity, please do not be offended if we have to limit entry numbers.

We of course would ask that for the sake of all our volunteers and patrons as a precaution:

-  anyone showing signs of a cold such as coughing, fever etc please stay away on this occasion;

- anyone recently arrived/returned from overseas in the last 2 weeks please don’t attend;

- everyone follow the now-standard advice - respect ‘safe distancing’ and personal space of others in the pits and facilities, do not hug or shake hands etc, regularly wash your hands with soap and water and dry them thoroughly.  We suggest teams think about carrying extra soap, sanitiser, mechanics gloves etc in your trailer/toolkit for the weekend.

Please read the attached St John’s advice notice.

We also care about the local businesses that have supported us, and feel if we can safely support them and their staff trying to stay afloat at this difficult time, we should.

If we are given any further instruction between now and Sunday we will post as soon as possible.
